Dessa Voice is a web app that puts two voice tools in one tab: an AI voice you can hold a back-and-forth conversation with, and a narrator that turns typed text into speech you can download. Open the page, choose a voice, then talk or type. Nothing to install.
Start speaking while Dessa Voice is mid-answer and it pauses to hear you, the way a person would on a phone call. Useful when it misreads you or you think of a better question.
22 voices are tuned for conversation in Mandarin, English, Japanese, Korean, French, German, Spanish and Portuguese. Another 24 narration voices can read text in 39 languages.
Drop in a product demo script, a training module or a book chapter of up to 5,000 characters. The narration lands in your library as a 44.1 kHz WAV.
Calls are metered in 6-second slices, and anything prepaid but unused returns to your balance when you hang up. A voiceover costs 1 credit for every 160 characters.

Dessa Voice is a browser-based AI voice app. Voice Chat lets you hold a spoken, two-way conversation with an AI voice and interrupt it like a person. Voiceover turns typed text into narration and saves it as a WAV file. It runs on phones and computers with no download.
For conversation: ordering food in a language you are learning, rehearsing a salary negotiation or a sales pitch, or talking a decision through before a meeting. For narration: product demo videos, e-learning modules, short social clips, audiobook samples and phone greetings.
Voice Chat has 22 voices, and one call can run 20 to 90 minutes depending on your plan. Voiceover has 24 voices in 39 languages, detected from your text, and takes 2,000 to 5,000 characters per voiceover. Files are delivered as 44.1 kHz WAV.
There is no free trial, free plan or welcome credit; everything runs on paid credits. One minute of Voice Chat is 10 credits, metered every 6 seconds, and each call bills at least 15 seconds. A voiceover costs 1 credit per 160 characters. Plan credits refresh monthly and lapse at the end of each cycle; pack credits stay until you use them.
No. A call that never connects, or a voiceover that produces no audio, is refunded to your balance automatically. During a call, credits are reserved 30 seconds at a time, and the unused part of the last slice comes back when you hang up.
Yes. Voiceovers made with paid credits can go into client work, monetised videos, online courses and ads, with no watermark. You are responsible for the text, and copying or posing as a real person's voice is not allowed.
No. The microphone sends audio only while a call is live, and call audio is never saved. The transcript lives in your open browser tab and disappears when you close it. Voiceover files stay private in your library until you delete them.
Dessa Voice is designed for the Dessa voice model, which has no public API yet. In the meantime, Voice Chat uses GPT-Live-1 and Voiceover uses HeyGen Voice. Once the Dessa API opens, Dessa Voice will switch to it.
